Overview:
I love Bookers Bourbon. It’s just really, really good stuff. And the best thing about Bookers is you can find it anywhere, from the corner liquor store to the large-scale retailers, everyone sells Bookers.
Company Specs:
Booker’s® Bourbon is a rare barrel-strength bourbon, bottled uncut and unfiltered*. But you obviously know a good bit about bourbon, because you don’t end up here by mistake. We don’t advertise. We don’t do social media. We just do bourbon.
We focus on the sweet spot. The center of the rackhouse where the temperature and humidity stars align to create the deepest and most intense flavors. Once it’s aged to perfection, which always varies, the liquid is bottled uncut and unfiltered*. We don’t add, we don’t water down, and we don’t apologize for it. For some people, it may be too much. But for true bourbon fans, it’s probably the best ever.
COLOR Our darkest and deepest amber and henna color.
TASTE Deep and complex flavors of vanilla, nuts and oak.
AROMA Robust vanilla and caramel notes; slightly smoky.
FINISH Long and full; perfect for easygoing sipping.
Awards:
Booker’s® Bourbon: Double Gold, 2009 San Francisco World Spirits
Tasting Grade: B+
Like any barrel-strength whiskey, it’s bold! But what makes Bookers so great is that it’s bite is not overwhelming. It’s rather smooth. Taste is rich, complex and really enjoyable.
Value Grade: B
I see it priced around $50 in most places I visit, which is reasonable.
Overall Grade: B+
Yeah, you need to have Bookers on hand at all times. It makes a killer manhattan. Plus, it’s also good when you want to take the party to an “11.”
